Custom Portfolio

Certain churches have investment committees whose members have specific investment expertise, or receive other professional investment counsel.  For churches or agencies that wish to take an active management role in their asset allocations, the Foundation offers custom asset allocations tailored to your specific investment requirements.  You may choose from any or all of our 11 asset classes to add investment managers who adhere to the Methodist Social Principles.  You will have the ability to utilize managers who may not be available to your church by itself because of the managers’ investment minimums.  You may also wish to add certain asset classes to complement your existing investment managers’ performance.

Who should invest?
Custom Portfolios are appropriate for churches and agencies that:
  • Have dedicated investment expertise available on the committee or in conjunction with an investment consultant
  • Desire to adhere to Methodist Social Principles while achieving investment goals
  • May have other asset classes invested with other well-performing investment managers
  • Wish to actively choose allocations from money market, equity, fixed income and alternative asset investment options
